IT’S NOT YOU. IT’S THE WEBSITE.

GOOD BUSINESS.
QUIET WEBSITE.

You do good work, but your website doesn’t say so fast enough. Visitors don’t wait around to find out.

  1. /01 WHAT HAPPENS

Visitors can’t tell what you do.

If it takes more than a few seconds to understand what you offer, people move on and choose someone who explained it faster.

  2. /02 HOW IT FEELS

You hesitate to share the link.

You know it’s out of date. So you apologize for it before sending it, or you don’t send it at all.

  3. /03 WHAT IT COSTS

The next step is a guessing game.

Call, email, fill something out? When the next step isn’t obvious, interested people quietly drift away.

A CLEAR WEBSITE MAKES CHOOSING YOU EASIER.

When people have to piece your story together, they move on. We start with your customer, clarify the message, then design a distinctive experience with a clear next step.

WE GET IT.
WE’VE GOT YOU.

Most websites aren’t failing because of bad design. They’re failing because a stranger can’t quickly answer two questions: what do you do, and why should they trust you? That’s the problem we solve.

WHAT WE CHANGED. AND WHY.

BEFORE. AFTER.
AND WHY.

Real Ohio businesses, their websites as we found them, and what we changed. Drag Chip to compare. Every project says plainly whether it was hired work, an approved design or a concept.

WHAT WAS IN THE WAY

  • The first thing you see is one plate of food. Nothing says why a 200-year-old mill is worth the drive.
  • Reservations, the menu, banquets and history all sit in one row, with the same weight.
  • The building’s story, the real reason people come, is a link away.

WHAT WE CHANGED → WHY

  1. 01

Opened on people at the table and one line: “Gather at the Mill.”

WHY Destination dining is chosen for the night out. Show the night out.

  2. 02

Put Reserve a table and View the full menu right under the headline.

WHY Those are the two jobs almost every visitor arrives with.

  3. 03

Added a planning bar: your visit, dining spaces, directions, private gatherings.

WHY Practical questions get answered without hunting through menus.

Real clients. Real websites. Their words.

Concepts are our own redesigns of real businesses’ websites, made to show what we’d change. They weren’t commissioned, and we don’t claim results for them.

A CLEAR PATH FORWARD.

THREE STEPS.
NO MYSTERY HANDOFF.

  1. /01

    CLARIFY

Understand your business, customers, and the next action.

  2. /02

    CREATE

Shape the message, design, and working website.

  3. /03

    DELIVER

Test, refine, and hand off a dependable result.

  • A fixed price, agreed first.

You’ll know the cost, scope and timing before paid work starts.

  • You approve what goes out.

You see exactly what will be published before anything goes live.

  • A plan for after launch.

Content, hosting, updates and support are agreed before the build, not discovered after it.

START WITH STEP ONE
CREATIVE THINKING. PRACTICAL EXECUTION.

WHERE SHOULD
WE START?

You don’t need a technical brief. Start with what your business needs. Small improvements and larger website projects are both welcome. Best for owner-operated businesses, local services and independent creators.

/01

IMPROVE AN EXISTING WEBSITE.

Your business has moved forward. Your website can, too.

Targeted redesign, clearer content, easier navigation and technical refinement. We’ll identify what is getting in the way and decide what deserves attention first.

PICK A COLUMN.

TWO WAYS
THIS GOES.

Keep the website you have.

  • Visitors keep guessing what you do.
  • Good leads choose whoever explains it faster.
  • You keep apologizing for the link.
  • Updating the site stays a chore nobody owns.

Make it easy to choose you.

  • People understand your offer in seconds.
  • The right customers reach out, ready to talk.
  • You share your website with confidence.
  • You know exactly how to keep it current.
I WANT THIS COLUMN
WE’LL GO FIRST.

YOU’RE PROBABLY
THINKING…

  1. This is going to cost more than I planned.

Fair worry. That’s why the price is fixed and agreed before any paid work starts. If it doesn’t fit, you find out early.

  2. They’ll talk me into a whole new website I don’t need.

You might not need one. Sometimes the fix is a clearer message or a simpler route through the pages. A scoped review can set priorities first.

  3. I’ll be stuck calling them every time I need a typo fixed.

Who updates the site, and how, is decided before the build. Not discovered after it.

  4. This will drag on for months.

A typical website takes about a week of build time once content and approvals are in. You’ll have a timeline before paid work starts.

  5. A studio with a cartoon mascot can’t be serious.

Strategy in the thinking. Character in the details. Chip makes the site memorable. The plan behind it is all business.

So. Would it be a bad idea to tell us what’s going on with your website?

INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN.

WE CONNECT
THE DOTS.

TIFFIN, OHIO / NORTHWEST OHIO & BEYOND

BETWEEN WHAT YOUR BUSINESS DOES AND WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS NEED TO UNDERSTAND.

Most websites aren’t failing because of bad design. They’re failing because a stranger can’t quickly answer two questions: what do you do, and why should they trust you? That’s the problem we solve. We plan, design and build websites from Tiffin, Ohio, for businesses across Northwest Ohio and beyond. Custom frontends and WordPress, starting with your customer and working back to the page.

Tiny Chip Studio was founded by Adam Thomas Janes, who came to the web through print deadlines that don’t move. Four recurring publications, 156 weekly editions, one production designer. That habit came along: structure first, then the details, then testing.

A LITTLE LESS
GUESSWORK.

It can be hard to know what a website project involves. You may be wondering about time, cost or whether you’re ready. Start here.

Is this going to turn into a hard sell?

No. Tell us what’s going on and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help. If a different fix suits you better, we’ll say so.

Do I actually need a whole new website?

Maybe not. You may need a clearer message, a simpler route through the pages, or a few technical fixes. We start with what is getting in the way. A scoped review can set priorities before you commit to a bigger project, and we agree on its scope and fee first.

How long does a website take?

A typical website takes about a week of build time once your content and approvals are in. Larger or more custom projects take longer. You’ll have a timeline before paid work starts.

What will it cost?

Most small-business websites start at $1,200. Where yours lands depends on the number of pages, the content and how custom the build needs to be. After a short call we quote a fixed price, so you know the cost, scope and timing before paid work starts. No hourly meter.

Do you only work with Northwest Ohio businesses?

No. We’re based in Tiffin and love working with businesses around Northwest Ohio, where we can meet in person. Plenty of projects happen entirely by phone and video, wherever you are.

What if I don’t know what to ask for?

You don’t need a technical brief. Tell us what your business does, what customers struggle to find or understand, and what you wish worked better. That is enough to begin a useful conversation.

Will I be able to update the website myself?

That’s decided before the build. WordPress suits regular content updates; a custom frontend suits a more specialized experience. We’ll talk through what you need to change, who will handle it, and what support you want.

What happens after I get in touch?

We read your message and reply by email. We start with your goals and your current situation. If there’s a useful way to work together, we discuss scope, timing and cost before paid work starts. You see exactly what will be sent before anything goes out.

GOOD WORK.
STARTS HERE.

What should your website make easier for your customers? Start there. You may be wondering if this turns into a hard sell. It doesn’t. Tell us what’s going on, and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.
